About this service
Updated October 2026
Moreton Bay Hot Water is a local referral service for the Moreton Bay region of Queensland. It does one thing: when your hot water fails or needs replacing, it puts you in touch with a QBCC-licensed local hot water plumber who covers your suburb.
How it works
You send the quote form with your suburb and a line about what is happening. Your details go to a licensed plumber who services your area, and they call you back with a price. Quotes are free, there is no obligation, and you deal with the plumber directly from there.
Why it exists
Hot water never fails at a convenient time, and finding a plumber at short notice can mean ringing around while the household lines up for a cold shower. This site shortens that. The pages here explain how the system types compare, what repairs and replacements should roughly cost, and what the heat pump certificates mean, so you can judge the quote you get.
The fine print, plainly
Moreton Bay Hot Water is not a plumbing business and does not carry out plumbing, gas or electrical work. Hot water installation is licensed work in Queensland: the plumbing must be done by a QBCC-licensed plumber, gas connections by a licensed gas fitter, and hard-wired electrical connections by a licensed electrician. Every job referred through this site goes to a licensed tradesperson. Price ranges published here are a guide based on typical South East Queensland rates, and the plumber's own quote is the price that counts.
